Hi dear dance community and dance enthusiasts, Me, Fanni (dancer and dance educator based in Frankfurt), and my husband Philip (DJ SCHACKMATT on vinyl) would like to invite you to our Garden Rave (Techno and House) in Fechenheim.

What is this rave about? On one hand, our wish is to shift the focus back onto the living interplay between music and dance, and the flow of energy between DJ and the dancing public. By centering this exchange, we hope to break down the hierarchies that have crept into this music scene, and reconnect with the spirit of ’90s electronic music – a time when the aesthetics and atmosphere were radically different from what we often encounter in clubs today. On the other, this rave is also meant as a community gathering – a chance to meet in a different context than usual and share time together.

We consider raving also as a practice of resistance. Therefore this rave is meant not only as a celebration, but also as a shared experience of connection.
