All are welcome who want to experiment with sounds, tone, voice and language. Registration is not necessary. Regular attendance is desired but not necessary. DURATION OF A SESSION: Between 4-12 hours. You can stay as long as you like, take breaks or sleep. LANGUAGES: Spoken English and German. Italian and slow communication are possible. Language skills are not a prerequisite. MÖGL. BARRIERS: No computer or technical skills are required. Participation with learning disabilities is possible. Visual ability is not a prerequisite. Based on auditory perception, the practice is not accessible to the deaf and not easily accessible to the hard of hearing. Companions, children and support animals may be brought. HYGIENE: No mask requirement, but mask and test recommendation. Updates according to pandemic development and local requirements.
that there then, not now here past is a two-week-long joint improvisation and composition practice. In this format, at once sound lab and writing workshop, happening and open project, artists Antonia Alessia Virginia Beeskow, Aran Kleebaur and Chiara Marcassa invite the audience to explore listening in a changing community, as an aesthetic experience beyond performative convention. With a lo-tolerance for beats and grids and a hi-tolerance for atmosphere, noises, rhythm[us]analyses and other (sound) materials. (Non-)musicality preferred. In our sessions we will listen to these sound artefacts, let them have an effect on us, interact transmedially, comment on them, defragment them and combine them into new sound compositions. Together, from the bottom up, from the bottom down, and for no one but the uncertain us.
