This week I would like to offer a very basic introduction to the principles of improvisation technique - a method of working with movement that William Forsythe developed in the 90's together with the dancers of the Frankfurt Ballet. Rather than exploring dance through form, I would like to invite you to explore the kind of dance where form is created as a result of conscious work with the body, senses, and coordination. My experience and interaction with improvisational technique is very much informed by the exploration of improvisation in the Forsythe Company, so in class we may also visit exercises from budo, listening scores, and playful deviations.

The training room is available for registration and an independent warm-up beginning at 09:30. The training will start promptly at 10 am. Participation is free for students, day ticket: 6 Euro, 10 ticket: 35 Euro.
