"Dance makes sense when the body is in motion," says Natalija Vladisavljević, author, dancer and choreographer of Dance in the 21st Century. One can say many words about dance while missing it because, "there's contemporary dance without music, or contemporary dance without dance." This imposing piece puts a score in the space that describes nothing less than what we call our present. Together with the disabled and non-disabled dancers of the dance and theater collective Per.Art from Novi Sad, Serbia, a poetic encyclopedia and re-appropriation of dance is created here: from Nijinsky to Swan Lake, an alternative, poetic canon is spanned that proposes a lustful and moving look at what dance could have been in the 21st century. Idea, choreographic scores: Natalija Vladisavljević Artistic collaboration (at the invitation of Natalija Vladisavljević): Alexandre Achour, Saša Asentić, Olivera Kovačević Crnjanski Choreography, performance: Alexandre Achour, Jelena Alempijević, Saša Asentić, Dunja Crnjanski, Olivera Kovačević Crnjanski, Frosina Dimovska, Željka Jakovljević, Ina Madžar, Jelena Stefanoska, Natalija Vladisavljević Pianists/Piano improvisation: Dunja Crnjanski Costume, stage design: Natalija Vladisavljević Lighting design: Anja Sekulić Sound: Rastko Ilić Production management: Saša Asentić, Olivera Kovačević Crnjanski, Nataša Murge Savić Production: Per.Art/Novi Sad in co-production with Hellerau - Europäisches Zentrum der Künste (Dresden), Kampnagel (Hamburg), Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm (Frankfurt), Münchner Kammerspiele (Munich).
