The workshop offers an introduction to Butoh and the possibility to discover your own creativity. We start moving with somatic bodywork and Qi Gong, to get to a state where every movement can continue through the whole body. We sharpen our perception with small exercises and start with movements that are not choreographed but expressions of an inner feeling/image. A Butoh Fu - an absurd series of images/story - allows us to dig deep into the whole spectrum of expression. There are no judgements of good/bad, beautiful/ugly, it is a dance between dichotomies, a process of transformation and new discovery. Butoh is suited for everybody who wants walk unknown paths and be surprised by oneself. Physical limitations are not an obstacle in Butoh but something that can spark creativity.
