SOLOCOREOGRAFICO SOLO DANCE FESTIVAL - FRANKFURT 2022 | DANCE FILM EVENING

SOLOCOREOGRAFICO Solo Dance Festival - FRANKFURT 2022 "Solocoreografico Film Evening" International Dance Film Series Thursday, 20.10.22 - 20:00, 8 € With the lockdown in early 2020, a real boom for dance videos began online. Numerous dance artists worldwide (also from Frankfurt) expressed their creativity in short clips and flooded social media platforms and websites with dance video content. Born out of the need for social distancing, the dance film evening is now an integral part of the SOLOCOREOGRAFICO festival curriculum in all international editions. Dance films have long since advanced beyond mere portraiture to become a genre in its own right, receiving worldwide recognition and reaching an ever-wider audience. On 20 October, the Solocoreografico Solo Dance Festival will present a lush selection of the best dance film productions of 2022 on the big screen in our theatre auditorium. The short films were also part of the Film Night of the Turin Festival Edition and enjoyed great popularity there with audiences and press. The solo dance festival SOLOCOREOGRAFICO, founded in Italy in 2014, will take place for the fifth time at the Gallus Theatre in 2022 from 20-23 October. For the already renowned platform of international dance solos, Frankfurt is now the headquarters and central hub in a network from Turin to Tunis to Oklahoma City. The festival was founded in Turin, Italy, by the choreographer Raffaele Irace.
