GLANZ*
A dance piece about sports for ages 6 and up

With humor, athletic verve, lightness and a pinch of glitz and glamor, Hennermann's Horde - awarded the "Karfunkel 2022" children's and youth theater prize of the city of Frankfurt - leads through a constantly evolving game. Whether soccer, volleyball, baseball, basketball, tennis, swimming or field hockey, whether they fight for gold individually or twirl as a team, in GLANZ* sports movements meets contemporary dance.

GLANZ* is an arena. It is a field. The players take their places on the diving board and the whistle sounds! The game has begun. The fans go wild! Three dancers in colorful sportswear lead the audience through an ever-evolving game with humor, athletic verve, levity, and a dash of glitz and glamour. Whether it's soccer, volleyball, baseball, basketball, tennis, swimming or field hockey, they compete for gold individually or twirl as a team. The 45-minute choreography deals with movement elements from very different sports, deconstructing and reassembling them. Again and again, it is also about competition, losing and winning (being able to) and, of course, the joy of sports and winning.

Choreography, idea & concept: Célestine Hennermann / Dance: Ariadni Agnanti, Gabriele Ascani, Danique de Bont / Dramaturgy: Ilana Reynolds / Space & costume: sounds of silence (Susanne Kessler, Petra Eichler) / Music and composition: Gregor Praml / Light: Gregor Knüppel / Management: Alexandra Schmidt
