This project is dedicated to the dancer, choreographer, and dance educator Bob Rease (1949–1991), with whom Dieter Heitkamp had a long-standing friendship.
In the course of his career, for which he received the German Dance Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2024, Dieter Heitkamp has developed over 100 choreographies and numerous lecture performances, including Assistierte Schwebezustände (2001), Hautsache Bewegung (2004), Schule der Sensibilität (2007), and LAURA LERNT (2009), and is now back on the independent scene. In EVERY LITTLE MOVEMENT / A Performance – Lecture, he presents a choreography and, for the first time, illustrates the context of a piece's development, also explaining and negotiating the precarious funding situation for contemporary dance.
How little is necessary to make every moment very special?
