COTTON FLOWERS EXIST attempts to connect the materiality of the world with the ability to imagine non-existent landscapes. What connects the practice of drawing, choreographing, and walking? Three forms of writing at three scales come into conversation with each other: drawing writing on the surface of a notebook, choreographing on the floor of a stage, roaming bodies in the open. Always present: cotton as an aesthetic experience. But above all, its economic and social connotations are traced in terms of social class and ethnicity. The sensually soft cotton as a symbol of struggle.
